Your data is stored securely on Microsoft Azure infrastructure in North America. DataNexis.ai is operated by Caesar Mahmood ("DataNexis," "we," "us," or "our"), based in Dallas, Texas, USA. We are the data controller for personal information collected through this website and platform.

2. Information We Collect
Information you provide directly:
- Name and email address (registration and Cipher sign-up)
- Password (stored as a hashed value — we never store plaintext passwords)
- Payment information (processed and stored by Stripe — we do not store card numbers)
- Ticket submissions and project work you submit through the portal
Information collected automatically:
- Login timestamps and session activity
- XP events, rank progression, and gamification data
- IP address and general browser/device information via Cloudflare
- Cookies required for session management and portal functionality
3. How We Use Your Information
- To create and manage your account on the student portal
- To process subscription payments and billing through Stripe
- To send you confirmation emails, session announcements, and platform updates
- To track your learning progress, XP, ranks, and streak data
- To provide customer support when you contact us
- To improve the platform based on usage patterns
- To comply with legal obligations
We do not use your data for automated decision-making that produces legal or similarly significant effects.
4. Data Storage and Security
Your data is stored on Microsoft Azure infrastructure located in Canada Central. Cloudflare provides DNS, DDoS protection, and CDN services. Stripe handles all payment processing under PCI DSS compliance.
We implement reasonable technical and organizational security measures including encrypted connections (HTTPS), hashed passwords, and JWT-based authentication. However, no method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure.
5. Third-Party Services
We work with the following third parties who may process your data:
- Stripe — payment processing. Stripe Privacy Policy
- Cloudflare — DNS, CDN, and security. Cloudflare Privacy Policy
- Microsoft Azure — cloud infrastructure and database hosting.
- Google Fonts — font delivery (may log IP addresses per Google's policy).
- Zoom — live Cipher sessions. Zoom's recording and data practices apply to session attendance.
We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to any third party for marketing purposes.
6. Cookies
DataNexis.ai uses cookies and local storage for the following purposes:
- Session authentication — JWT tokens stored in local storage to keep you logged in
- UI preferences — storing dismissal state for the announcement bar
- Cloudflare — security and performance cookies set by our infrastructure provider
We do not use advertising or third-party tracking cookies. You may clear cookies and local storage through your browser settings at any time, which will log you out of the portal.
7. Data Retention
We retain your account data for as long as your account is active. If you cancel your subscription and request account deletion, we will delete your personal information within 30 days, except where retention is required by law (e.g., billing records, which are retained for 7 years per standard accounting requirements).
8. Your Rights — EU / EEA Residents (GDPR)
If you are located in the European Union or European Economic Area, you have the following rights under the General Data Protection Regulation:
Request a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
Request correction of inaccurate or incomplete data.
Request deletion of your personal data ("right to be forgotten").

Request that we limit how we process your data.
Object to processing based on legitimate interests.
Our legal basis for processing your data is: contract performance (running your subscription), legitimate interests (platform improvement), and legal compliance. To exercise any GDPR right, email support@datanexis.ai. We will respond within 30 days.
9. Your Rights — California Residents (CCPA)
If you are a California resident, you have the following rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act:
- Right to Know — request disclosure of what personal information we collect, use, and share
- Right to Delete — request deletion of your personal information
- Right to Opt-Out — we do not sell personal information, so there is nothing to opt out of
- Right to Non-Discrimination — we will not discriminate against you for exercising your CCPA rights

10. Children's Privacy
